Cold Hands
Description
Two hands hold the head of a child, symbolizing the tragedythat words cannot express. The first hand gently touchesthe small body, as if attempting to bring it back to life oralleviate the weight of the loss, while the other hand carriesthe silent pain that accompanies every moment of death. Inthat moment, understanding cannot comprehend the scaleof the loss, and the hands cannot reverse time or correctreality. The scene expresses helplessness in the face ofdeath and shows the tension between trying to preservesomething that was once alive and the harsh reality thatstands as a barrier to any hope.
Preservation Notes
Osama's works have all been destroyed since October 7 2023, during what is now termed one of the most departing modern day holocaust's of our generation. These latest sketches are all done on his laptop that he has managed to salvage, and uses it as so many in his circumstance as an artistic tool to create and keep creating his sketches and drawings.
